| The photo above was supplied to us by Doug Pankhurst who was on 20 Appy at Laverton from 1966 to 1968, and shows a bunch of the lads in full flight trying to erect a tent whilst on a "bonding" break away from the Base . You’ll notice the perfectly suitable RAAF issue beach attire worn by all-no wonder they called us queer trades. Doug maintains the 20 Appy web site and has posted a number of old photos there for all to see.
